We at the Native American House Alliance are dedicated to making sure that the Native Americans of Philadelphia and its greater region are able to maximize their capacity through ensuring access to quality health, education, and career options. We are seeking a webmaster and social media manager to help spread the word about our services: regularly updating our website to highlight recent accomplishments and upcoming events drafting social media posts relevant to Native Americans in the Philadelphia area managing our social media facebook page helping us expand our online presence in other platforms, such as Instagram and Twitter This position is ideal for people looking to gain experience in social media, marketing, and web communications, especially those interested in gaining experience in an equity-centered atmosphere. No software engineering experience is necessary to do this work, but for those who have that experience please reach out so we can discuss future projects. We're honored to work with people dedicated to helping us fulfill our mission goals to: Foster and preserve Native American Culture, arts and crafts, spiritual growth through Native American teachings. Promote educational enhancement among the Native American Indian population in Philadelphia, PA. Strive for the elimination of prejudice towards and within Native American communities and American communities. Inform and conduct programs about Native American history and culture. Aid in family services, housing, and employment. Serve as a voice to insist and or demand that federal, state, and local services be made available to the Native American community. Promote social and economic development/empowerment services that promotes self-help among the Native American populations. Raise funds through campaigns, grants and or loans, and all lawful means and to receive, expend funds that especially effectuate the objectives of this membership alliance. Acquire real estate and equipment by purchase, or gifts, grants and bequests and hold, own, and accept such donations to build capacity of the organization. Create much needed Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Native American Commissions. Build an innovative nationally-focused Native American Cultural Center and Museum. To hold an annual NAHA powwow held in Philadelphia. To establish the first Commission on Indian Affairs in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania.

We at the Native American House Alliance seek a volunteer for receptionist and administrative duties here at our office near the historic Treaty Park. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds. Administrative volunteers will help us with: everyday office duties (answering the phone, printing, scanning) drafting emails and proofreading sorting mail answering the phone greeting clients This position is ideal for people looking to gain workplace experience, especially those interested in developing skills in office management and communication in an equity-centered atmosphere.
