Mission Statement

The Greater Albuquerque Housing Partnership (GAHP) creates exceptional housing communities and provides enrichment services to support household stability, healthy families, and safer neighborhoods.

Description

The Greater Albuquerque Housing Partnership (GAHP) is a non-profit Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) dedicated to building a better Albuquerque. Since 1993, GAHP has been highly successful in bringing the benefits of quality affordable and market-rate housing to more Albuquerque families.

In 1996, GAHP developed its first Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) development unit, Bridgeport Apartments. From 1996 to 2008, the organization developed single family homes and townhomes and delivered first time homebuyer programs to help clients repair their credit and find down-payment assistance to purchase their first home.

Since 2010, GAHP has focused its efforts on developing affordable apartments funded with LIHTC and City of Albuquerque funds. Working primarily in Albuquerque's older neighborhoods, we oversee the design and construction of new, affordable rental homes and developments.
