Mission Statement
From the outset, Caritas Georgia implements the projects that protect the dignity and basic rights of every person regardless of their nationality, ethnicity, creed, gender, or ability. Caring for the poor is our main responsibility. Throughout programs, we aim to reach the most vulnerable people in the country. Those are lonely helpless elders, homeless children lacking parental care, sick and disabled people, disappointed people who lost their faith, the unemployed, or socially unprotected people.
Description
Aspiration for attaining the objectives is most clearly manifested by the projects implemented by Caritas Georgia in the following programs:
Priority I: Social Protection
Provision of the socially disadvantaged population with social assistance, improvement of the quality of their lives, and preservation of the dignity of the vulnerable population by ensuring their basic needs.
Priority II: Health Care
Increasing accessibility to the medical and long-term care of the disadvantaged population; development of new models of services; nursing education quality enhancement; home care integration in the health care system Georgia.
Priority III: Children And Youth Protection And Development
Facilitate the upbringing of beneficiary children in a family environment, protect the children and youth from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and discrimination, and ensure the children / youth’s rehabilitation and integration in the society.
Priority IV: Education Enhancement
Enhancing provision of inclusive and quality-based education for children and youth in Georgia.
Priority V: Sustainable Development Of Communities
Sustainable development of Local Communities in different regions of Georgia, enhancing their economic and social stability, involvement of adolescents and youth by empowering them to take active roles in their communities, strengthening social ministries in Catholic Parish Communities.
