Mission Statement

We are a beautiful heritage home, ashram, spiritual retreat center, yoga and meditation school on 2 ½ acres of coconut grove and rice paddy organic farm. We are located on the West coast of India, near the ancient sea side pilgrimage town of Gokarna 135kms South of Goa, in the village of Bankikodla. We seek to preserve the heritage of the local area and give back to the local community, through seva (voluntary work) to aid in our own spiritual growth.

Description

English teaching in our "Muddu Play School" and in local Primary and High SchoolJune 2013, we opened the Muddu Play School for local children aged 2.5 to 5 years. It is a dual-language program (Kannada, the local language of the state of Karnataka, and English), open to all. We provide scholarships for little children whose parents cannot afford towards tuition, funded by the dakshina of donors locally and abroad. It is a way to unlock doors of opportunity for their future.Contribute to bilingual schools for local children, regardless of castes of social position. We need volunteer English teachers, staying a minimum of one month for Muddu Play School; June-April (11 months) for High School; Holidays camp April-May. Looking for experts in their field for children. Educational donations are welcome either for scholarship or building a new tricycle path in Muddu Play School.Expected donation: From Rs. 6000/- to 10,000/- per child per yearRs. 75,000/- for tricycle path plus 3-4 tricyclesCheck website for more info
