Competencies: Understanding of story fundamentals (effective character, trajectory, hook, authenticity/details and calls-to-action) Keen sense of newsworthiness (what makes a story interesting from the audience’s perspective) Stellar writing skills; understanding of news writing techniques Interviewing skills; how to ask effective questions and develop rapport/trust with story subjects Storyboarding experience; understanding the effectiveness and appropriateness of story assets (text, images, audio, video) and how to combine them Visual, audio and video content creation experience; well-developed eye/ear for best practices in each Must fully support DCI’s mission and vision.

We are looking for a skilled notetaker with a background in DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging). For a new DCI initiative, we are seeking a notetaker for monthly meetings (7 months in total) where DEIB experts will discuss institutional racism and come up with solutions/a road to a more equitable world. Duties: - Take clear and organized minutes of each meeting - Share those notes with meeting attendees in a timely manner Relevant Experience & Competencies: - Must have experience note-taking for fast-paced/lively discussions - Comfortable sharing their own opinions on issues discussed while note-taking - Must have a background and interest in issues surrounding diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

DCI is looking for a Donor Engagement Specialist to support our agenda to build meaningful philanthropic relationships with individuals interested in supporting and advancing DCI’s mission. The Donor Engagement Specialist will focus on development efforts including the preparation and timely submission of fundraising concepts and reports and implementing a donor maintenance strategy. Duties: Work closely with the COO+CEO to implement an fundraising plan Draft fundraising appeals and gather related stories and statistics to build the case for support and inspire giving Gather and analyze data on fundraising and donor communication campaigns to inform future efforts Engage new and existing donors by sharing impact stories in the form of targeted videos, reports, mailings, and other creative approaches Draft news advisories announcing major partnerships and donations Relevant Experience & Competencies: Must be familiar with G Suite (Google), MS Office Suite (particularly Word and Excel), Desktop Publishing (Canva, InDesign, etc.), Mailchimp/Constant Contact, CRM and all other job-related softwares and systems. Must possess excellent writing and editing skills; Must communicate effectively with team members via email, phone, and other online media, as needed. Must be able to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Must have a desire and willingness to continuously learn and grow professionally Must be able and willing to "wear many hats" and adapt to changing organizational needs as the organization grows. Must uphold and enforce the organization’s ethical standards and comply with local, state, and federal law.
