Mission Statement

MISSION STATEMENT Huruma Inc. will transform the lives of the "at risk" youth and adults they serve by employing a series of educational and comprehensive Personal Development strategies, designed to facilitate the strengthening of individuals, families, and communities.

Huruma Inc./ Destiny Empowerment Vision Center Community Force is the collaboration of its Visionaries Elder Troy L. Corbin and Elder Steve Savoy, both Philadelphia natives, who have served in Prison Ministries and Community Outreach for over 20 years. He and Steve W. Savoy have been sowing into, and serving the lives of young men since 1997.
Huruma Inc./ Destiny Empowerment Vision Center Community Force started out as a Pre- Entry/ Re-Entry Initiative in 2019, when along with his wife Asia, Elder Corbin and Elder Savoy became fervent about assisting individuals who have been previously incarcerated, transforming their lives, and reducing the recidivism in our country. Perhaps even more importantly, they desire to prevent people from entering the Criminal Justice System.
Since its inception the Vision and Mission has evolved to be more inclusive, to serve other populations besides that of those formerly incarcerated. They realized that many people are suffering from the same spiritual, economic, and educational maladies, whether incarcerated or not.
As we continue to advance, we seek to engage youth as early as 7 years of age, utilizing 5 different age brackets.
We are ever looking forward to increasing and expanding our scope to add value to, and transform the lives of others in our communities.....and world wide.
