Mission Statement

The Carole Kai Charities, Inc's mission is to organize and produce, through community participation, the Great Aloha Run. Proceeds from this event financially assist scholarship programs and special projects of selected charitable organizations serving the community needs in the State of Hawaii.


Established in 1984, over the past thirty-eight years, the Carole Kai Charities, Inc. has been producing the Great Aloha Run, and 8.15 mile foot race the starts at the Aloha Tower in Downtown Honolulu and ends at the Aloha Stadium in Halawa. To date, the event has raised over $15.5 million that is given to over 150 non-profit health and human service organizations and community groups serving the people of Hawaii.
