Mission Statement

Jamaica World Organization, Inc., also known as "JWO" and was formed to assist communities by assisting communities through the advancement of education for at risk children and young adults. We are out to ensure that the much-emphasized gap between the two classes of the society is less stressed especially, in the provision of the quality education, and other programs, etc. We will ensure that through our various programs, children are taught to be self-reliant.

Description

Jamaica World Organization was formed February 2020. We offer our free tutoring program called Skillfull excellence and Supply Drive for back-to-school drives to collect and distribute school supplies to Schools in low-income communities. To fulfill our mission we will be fundraising through events, fundraisers, and memberships. In 2020, 1 week before our 2020 fiscal year calendar of events and tutoring program was set to begin and then the world shut down due to COVID- 19 and all events had to be cancelled. While in limbo our team decided to do a drive-by school drive and distributed the supplies to a school in a Clarendon , Jamaica. We received over 1100 donated items and purchased a few additional supplies for the students of Rosewell Primary School. This year we are we have selected 2 schools to giveaway supplies and host our first weekend long festival to fundraiser on Labor Day Weekend. We will be offering tutoring classes February 2023. While we've had a slow start, in the coming years we will likely be operating out of the United States, Canada, England and Jamaica.
