Mission Statement

To recycle and distribute donated medical equipment and supplies to those who may otherwise go without

Description

PSMA’s mission is simple; we seek to build community health and resilience by providing medical equipment and supplies to marginalized adults and children, free of cost, to improve their quality of life. To support PSMA is to support the health, healing, and independence of thousands of individuals throughout Southern Arizona and Sonora, including tribal nations such as the Tohono O’odham and the Pascua-Yaqui. Operating out of a 5,000 square foot distribution center, PSMA distributed over 115,000 lbs. of medical equipment in the first three quarters of our current fiscal year. About a third of our donations go to indigenous groups in Arizona (32.5% as of May 1st, 2021). These are life-changing materials that would otherwise end up populating our landfills. Thanks to our relationships with native leaders, advocacy groups, and regional hospitals, we can provide a wide range of goods to indigenous populations, from diabetic supplies to wheelchairs; we have even stocked local clinics.
