Mission Statement

The McDowell Mission was established by the West Virginia AnnualConference of The United Methodist Church in response to our lrd's callto be a reconciling agent in the world for god, proclaiming the presentand coming reign of God.The mission's primary task is to witness to hope in the risen Christ byempowering the people of god's church to be in mission cooperatively,ecumenically and locally to address the issues of literacy, racism,housing, economic condition and spiritual hopelessness as they relate toall who live within the service area.
