As a remote representative for Civicom Aid, you will play a vital role in helping our organization make a positive impact in the world. Whether you're acting as an eye to see or a mouth to speak, your work will expose you to new people, organizations, and experiences that will shape who you are. If you take on the role of an eye to see, you'll be responsible for grant research. You'll scour the internet to compile a list of potential donors that support causes like farming, health, education, or clean energy. This will require attention to detail and excellent research skills, but it's a rewarding way to help Civicom Aid identify funding opportunities. Alternatively, you can act as a mouth to speak. This role involves reaching out to potential donors and sharing Civicom Aid's mission and impact. Whether you're writing emails or giving presentations, you'll be the voice of our organization and a critical part of our fundraising efforts. No matter which role you choose, you'll be part of a team that values collaboration and communication. Our team members will be there to support you, share their skills, and discuss new ideas. By the time your work is done, you'll have developed new friendships and skills that will stay with you long after your time with Civicom Aid.

Kyani Primary School, a public school in Uganda, has been in operation for 20 years without a single classroom or toilet for its students. This has led to several challenges such as interruptions to learning due to heavy rains and strong winds, skin injuries and dehydration caused by exposure to strong sun rays, and the spread of disease-causing germs from human wastes as children and teachers hide behind trees to ease themselves. The learning and teaching environment has resulted in school dropout, poor performance, early marriages, child labor, waterborne diseases, intestinal worms, exclusion in education, and delays in going to school. The most affected are girls and children who delay going to school. To address this dire situation, we are seeking a donors to donate funds or fundraiser/proposal writer to help us raise funds for building school infrastructure. The proposed infrastructure includes: Phase 1: Building 18 classrooms, 22 toilets, 1 administration block, and water point Phase 2: Building 1 rescue room, 1 kitchen, and 1 dining room Phase 3: Building 1 computer lab and 1 library If you are interested in making a difference and improving the lives of these students and their community, please email grant@civicom.org

Calling all volunteers! We cordially invite you to join us in fundraising for our sustainable farming program. Your generous contribution, in any amount you choose, will make a significant impact. The program's primary objective is to train marginalized family farmers and provide them with farmer water points, ensuring their access to essential resources for successful farming endeavors. Your fundraiser will directly contribute to the training of women and youth family farmers, equipping them with the necessary skills to cultivate crops for food and profit. The funds you raise will also support initiatives such as inter-cropping trees, adopting zero tillage to improve soil quality, establishing water points for implementing drip irrigation systems, facilitating market linkages, and adopting a pest and disease detection app. The purpose of these efforts is to combat hunger and malnutrition by utilizing the grown crops, alleviate extreme poverty through the sale of surplus produce, mitigate the impacts of climate change by using inter-cropped trees, conserve soil quality through zero tillage practices, and reduce production costs by adopting pest and disease detection methods and biocontrol agents. Our aim is to increase yields, reduce hunger and malnutrition, mitigate the effects of climate change, alleviate poverty, and improve the long-term success of these farmers. Join us today and help us make a stronger impact. Together, we can create lasting change and pave the way for a more sustainable future in farming.
