Mission Statement

The Waldorf School of Princeton, part of a rapidly growing global educational movement, offers a compelling alternative to mainstream education in central New Jersey. We are dedicated to igniting each child’s unique potential and passions, instilling self-confidence, and inspiring achievement with a strong moral compass. We lead our students towards high accomplishment without fitting them into standardized norms. Our rich interdisciplinary curriculum is distinct in the way we integrate the academic, the artistic, and the practical in every lesson.

Description

"Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives."
-Dr. Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925)

The Waldorf School of Princeton provide year round education and programming to children aged eighteen months to 13 years in an Early Child program and a 1st through 8th grade school. In addition, we run summer and vacation camps for the local community. Popular features include outdoor cooking, community festivals and our Forest Kindergarten program.

Today, our school is adapting to serve one of the most diverse communities in the nation. The Waldorf School of Princeton is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive community where people of all races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, nationalities, and identities are warmly welcome. We denounce all forms of discrimination and intolerance. Our dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) is collaborative work that affects every part of our school.
