Environmentalist Fundraisers Needed! The Fundraising Committee needs people who care about the environment and know how to raise funds through local community fundraising. We hope to raise funds from individuals, local businesses, through events, online campaigns and other out-of-the-box methods. If you have experience in these areas or want to learn more about fundraising, please join our team! Tasks may include: Brainstorming fundraising ideas Soliciting local businesses for sponsorships Social media campaigns for fundraising Coordinating other fundraising events If you are passionate about the environment and mitigating climate change, join our cause - we need you! Environmentalists Needed! What is this job? Communicate internally and externally so that members and others will understand and become interested in participating in the organization. Lead the nonprofit in its effective communication for the 21st century. The Communications Team Leader shows passion for communicating a clear message and skill with methods of communication-verbal, written, and electronic. At the same time, this person must be able to work with our other Team Leaders and have expertise in the field of communication, and interest in developing and sharing knowledge. This leader must be able to connect their knowledge and expertise to the vision and mission of Tracy Earth Project, Inc. (TEP) Task may include: Grow your team of communication volunteers Oversee and coordinate the communications that go from our group's volunteers to the community we engage with, the citizens of the City of Tracy, such as print and electronic newsletters and announcements, telephone contacts, a website, and social media. Coordinate contacts between Tracy Earth project and community media, such as press releases Collaborate with the TEP leadership and staff to plan programs and promotions. Environmentalists Needed! Tracy Earth Project works with the City of Tracy to encourage them to meet the Sustainability Action Plan goals that the City set in 2008. We need individuals who are passionate about the environment and are willing to attend City council and other commission meetings to let our voices be heard. Volunteers may also attend meetings with the City Manager or other staff to share our goals with them and see how to help the City move forward on the goals they set for our environment. Volunteers may also one day help with petition signing and other organization to advocate for the Earth to our City. Tasks may include: Writing letters/emails or leaving voicemails for city and state officials Writing letters to the editor for the Tracy Press Attending City Council meetings to voice environmental concerns Attending other City Commission and Committee meetings to voice environmental concerns Attend meetings with TEP and City officials on environmental concerns If you are passionate about the environment and mitigating climate change, join our cause - we need you! Environmentalists Needed! We are seeking an Event Team Lead to work with our volunteers to help us out at our many events/public activities! The majority of our events help fund our Tracy Earth Project organization and/or services to the community. Event volunteers will be added to our list to contact for future events, but the Team Leader will help plan the event and reach out to volunteers and schedule them at the events. The volunteer can simply accept or pass on the request. The two annual events we have are Tracy Earth Day and California Clean Air Day each on a Saturday where we plant trees and host an information fair in downtown Tracy, we also have a booth at the Tracy Connects at Lincoln Park as well as be part of the Tracy Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting in December. Tasks may include: Assist with check-in, raffles, entries Event set-up/breakdown Distributing Goods, tickets, prizes Providing Directions/Information Answering Questions Assisting/overseeing other volunteers Supporting Staff Members Provide skills if (any) music/singing About us - If you are passionate about the environment and mitigating climate change, join our cause - we need you! Environmentalists Needed! Tracy Earth Project is seeking a board member and Secretary to join our growing tribe of environmental activists. If you have experience in adminstrative or secretarial work and you want to help the Earth, then this position is for you! We are looking for someone to support our organization and leadership using excellent computer and communication skills, timely action on tasks, and decision making at board meetings. You will be an integral part of our team.
