Description

For more than 110 years the members of Rotary have bridged cultures and connected continents by championing peace, fighting illiteracy, poverty and disease and promoting clean water and sanitation.

Recently, growing local economies and protecting the environment has been added to the causes we support.

Rotary Club of Mercer Island (RCMI) has served the Mercer Island community since 1963. We have supported countless Island causes over the years and through the recent pandemic have continued to provide volunteer aid and financial support through our Foundation to area programs such as Tiny Houses, YouthCare and Operation Nightwatch aimed at feeding the hungry, providing shelter and emergency relief including the Mercer Island Food Pantry. We support a variety of of programs aimed at different age groups including our teen Interact club and as conditions allow, student tutoring and musicales in local senior facilities. The Club has been meeting twice a month via Zoom and hopes to resume its popular in person lunchtime sessions on Tuesdays later this year at the MICEC.
