The Foundation’s mission is to deploy technical expertise and support to individuals and small business owners from marginalized communities to promote equality at all levels of wealth creation.
BAYI is committed to stimulating resilient growth in small business enterprises (SBEs), particularly marginalized groups, and propelling them to develop, integrate and implement sustainable inclusive business objectives and goals through our training and mentorship programs. We act as a catalytic force that drives SBEs/MBEs to develop sustainable strategies and skills to scale, through our unique blend of technical training, development, mentorship, and catalytic financing. Business owners participate in a multi-week training course that covers essential business and management topics facilitated by industry experts with years of experience in their respective fields. Following the training, the entrepreneurs go through stages of hands-on coaching and mentorship with business professionals with the aim of improving and implementing sustainable strategies in all aspects of the business. This has proven to be successful, following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The successful completion of the TheHUB(tm) US virtual training program in March 2021 enabled eight SBEs from traditionally underrepresented communities across various sectors to scale and prepare for sustainable growth in their respective markets. At our Fellowship stage, we focus on committing a team of experienced consultants, two fellows from the local community to each business with the aim to cover that entire cost during a six-month period. We intend to increase our cohort size to 1000 SBEs from the BIPOC community across US cities, and wholly support, train, mentor and finance them.
