Purpose of Role: As an Event Support Technician, you will be essential to the success of RESCUES ON85TH’s drive-thru FAM Furry Family Members food distribution event. Your responsibilities include assisting with participant check-ins, managing the flow of vehicles, and loading dog and cat food into cars. Wearing your RESCUES ON85TH organizational t-shirt, you will help ensure a smooth, efficient, and positive experience for participants and their Furry Family Members (FAMs). Key Responsibilities: Event Setup: Assist with setting up the drive-thru area, including signage for participant direction and safety markers. Organize dog and cat food supplies for efficient loading and distribution. Ensure all necessary materials, such as participant paperwork and informational handouts, are prepared and ready. Check-In and Participant Assistance: Greet participants as they arrive, assisting with quick check-ins to verify registration. Ensure all required paperwork is completed, distributing informational materials directly to participants in their vehicles. Vehicle Flow Management: Direct vehicles through the drive-thru lanes, ensuring smooth, continuous movement to prevent delays. Guide participants to the designated loading area, coordinating with team members for efficient loading. Loading Assistance: Carefully load dog and cat food directly into participants’ vehicles, ensuring the correct amount is provided. Maintain a friendly, service-oriented demeanor, prioritizing safety during the loading process. Event Breakdown: Assist with packing up supplies and materials, organizing and storing items as needed. Help ensure the event site is left clean and orderly following the event. Qualifications: Strong communication skills, with a positive and professional approach. Comfortable working with both people and animals, with an emphasis on friendly customer service. Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting and loading pet food, while following safety protocols. Punctuality, reliability, and teamwork are essential. Training Provided: On-site training on the day of the event, including safety and loading procedures. Guidance on vehicle flow management and customer service practices for a successful drive-thru experience. What You’ll Gain: Practical experience in event logistics and coordination. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare, excellent organizational capabilities, and a knack for community engagement, particularly with schools. Key Responsibilities: Needs Assessment: Collaborate with RESCUES ON85TH to pinpoint the most critical supplies needed for their programs, like food, toys, and medical supplies. Goal Setting: Define specific targets for the drive, focusing on the types and quantities of supplies to be collected from school initiatives. Timeline Creation: Plan a comprehensive schedule for the drive, from coordination with schools to the actual collection phase. ( You will not collect item(s), but ensure they are ready for pick-up). Promotion: Develop promotional materials tailored for school audiences to encourage participation. Engage with local schools, PTAs, and educational institutions to promote the drive and secure their involvement. Logistics: Set up collection points within schools or at centralized locations for easy drop-off of donations. Management: Coordinate with school volunteers, teachers, and students to ensure smooth operation of the drive. Keep meticulous records of all donations for transparency and to provide schools with feedback on their contributions. Post-Drive Activities: Ensure proper acknowledgment of schools and individual donors through certificates or thank you letters. Reflect on the drive's outcomes, documenting successes and lessons for future school-based drives. Qualifications: A strong commitment to animal welfare and community service with a focus on education. Proven organizational skills, particularly in managing school or community projects.
