Mission Statement
Annual community walk-a-thon event raises funds to support sustainable grassroots development, disaster relief, and refugee assistance provided by Church World Service as well as funds for local agencies combatting hunger, homelessness and poverty in our community. The 2022 CROP Hunger Walk will be held on November 13, 2022.
Description
The CROP Hunger Walk is a nationwide movement sponsored by Church World Service to raise funds to end hunger and poverty in the U.S. and around the world. Hundreds of religious groups, businesses, schools and others organize local Walk events in their communities each year, while others join the National Walk and choose their own location and experience. Richmond has participated in the CROP Walk since 1970. Twenty-five percent of the money raised in the walk stays here in our community to support local agencies.
