Mission Statement

We' build community greenhouse to grow organic food to help homeless and food insecure veterans. We accomplish this by: 1. Building Local Community Organic Aquaponic/Hydroponic Gardens. 2. Teaching Veterans How To Grow Their Own Food. 3. Teaching Veterans How To Operate Greenhouse Gardens. 4. Deploying Veterans To Other Communities To Replicate The Mission. Building local community gardens enables 365-day access to healthy food. Veterans work alongside each other, learning new skills and experiencing the rewarding nature of farming, growing healthy organic food by their own hands.

Veterans Produce is implementing a multi-site, statewide and national solution to provide access to year-round organic food and protein. It will not only help the veterans in the local communities gain access to local organic food, but also answer the demand for skilled employees in aquaculture and greenhouse farming industries.

The community greenhouse model with its small footprint essentially makes food available in almost any community and region, especially in areas lacking in fresh vegetables such as urban areas in the low-income zones where conventional soil growing methods do not prevail.
