Morgan Duke Conservation Society is seeking individuals to join as Trail Conservation Steward to help protect the ecosystem and environment at Saranac Lakes Wild Forest Areas. The role involves picking up litter along the beaches and trails, documenting the garbage collected, and assisting with various conservation activities. Areas, including Lake Clear beach, Middle Saranac Lake Beach, Hotel Pond, Little Green Pond, Indian Carry, and Floodwood road. Volunteers are needed at Minnewaska State Park and Sam's Point area! The Morgan Duke Conservation Society is looking for individuals, high school students, and college students to help keep this beautiful place clean for many generations to come. Volunteers can assist park staff with litter patrol around Lake Minnewaska trails, near the swimming and picnic areas, as well as at Sam's Point. No skills or experience are required for litter patrol volunteers. They may focus on a specific section of trail or provide services while exploring various areas within the park. Volunteers can create their own self-guided, flexible schedule and show up anytime. The Morgan Duke Conservation Society provides volunteers with supplies and volunteers are cover under workers' compensation through the State. Employers or groups interested in taking their group to Minnewaska State Park or Sam's Point for a volunteer day can contact the Morgan Duke Conservation Society to arrange a group volunteering day

Individuals, groups, high school and college students are welcome to join the Morgan Duke Conservation Society, an amazing organization with a DEC Volunteer Stewardship Agreement to help protect the ecosystem and maintain Hudson River Special Management Area Trail volunteers can assist with painting trail gates throughout the Hudson River Special Management Area on River Road Lake Luzerne, picking up litter left along the trails, beaches, and campsites, and reporting any trail conditions. Volunteers work independently or with others, focusing on specific trail sections or providing services while exploring trails. Volunteers are needed every year and can create their own flexible schedules. The Morgan Duke Conservation Society provides supplies, volunteer neon shirts, workers compensation through the state of New York, and training through monthly Zoom meetings. No skills or experience required.
