Restoring Our Youth Organization Inc. is seeking a COO who can provide leadership and a strategic vision to the organization. Our COO will bring operational, managerial and administrative procedures, reporting structures and operation controls to the organization. Our COO will effectively communicate and foster growth among the executive team and all Volunteer staff. This is a vital leadership role that will drive results, spur growth and increase the overall efficiency of the corporation. The COO will serve as a primary assistant to the Chief Executive Director (CED) and maintain all corporate level partnerships with all corporate officers while performing a wide variety of duties and responsibilities that are, and can be complex, sensitive, and confidential administrative support functions. Second in command of operations and Vice President to the Chief Executive Director/President of the organization.

Position Purpose The Restoring. Our. Youth. Organization needs an individual who delivers excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. Coordinates initiatives developed by the marketing/ public relations department while bringing new creative ideas to our organization. Acts as a mentor and creates long-term relationships with members. Performs various tasks and responsibilities that contribute to the ongoing success of the organization. Your job description can be altered at the discretion of the Sr. Community Mentor Coordinator or the Chief Executive Director of the organization. Responsibilities Promotes all of Restoring.Our.Youth.Organization’s social media platforms, contact information, and the Restoring.Our.Youth.Organization website; Create and maintain marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic; Applies ROY’s (mission, vision, motto, and values) when dealing with member services; Follows Restoring. Our. Youth. Organization best practices, processes, and procedures regarding the intake process of a Restoring.Our.Youth.Organization members; Responsible for bridging the gap between the Restoring.Our.Youth.Organization the communities; Communicates and works with other departments; Work as a team member; respect fellow ROY members/ and be professional in communications Develop positive relationships with members fostering an atmosphere of respect, improvement, operational excellence, and teamwork; Support social and recreational activities for the youth and teens with the purpose of recruiting and retaining those groups in the initiative and providing opportunities for positive engagement Refers potential members to appropriate staff for proper registration procedures. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma/ GED required Experience in marketing or related fields (ex. public relations, communications, social media marketing, etc.); Coaching skills (not required, but recommended); Outstanding interpersonal skills; Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and layout/design skills; Have a strong public presence - articulate, optimistic, and energetic with the ability to motivate and inspire people at all levels; Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds; Open to adjusting and modeling the ROY’s mission, vision, motto, and values; Must work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends (as needed); Should work effectively with high-risk populations.; Must prioritize tasks and work independently in the absence of supervision; Possess excellent crisis/conflict management skills and/or are willing to learn; Experienced with Microsoft Office and Google Drive (or willing to learn); Demonstrates strong work ethic and moral standards Desire to learn and grow professionally in the field of non-profit Demonstrates leadership skills Ability to multitask, take initiative, have organizational skills, and have a teamwork mentality. Purpose: Reporting directly to the President and Executive Director, the Executive Assistant provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the President. The Executive Assistant also provides support to the executive and senior management teams; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects. The Executive Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. Supervisor: This individual is to report directly to the President/Executive Director. Restoring.Our.Youth.Organization - Position Description for Executive Assistant to President Executive Support ● Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the President and executive team including: managing several active calendars of appointments; composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for travel- related meetings. ● Plans, coordinates and ensures the executive team’s schedules are followed and respected. Provides a "gatekeeper" role, creating win-win situations for direct access to the President's time. ● Communicates directly, and on behalf of the President and executive team, with Board members, investors, partners, and others, on matters related to executive programmatic initiatives. ● Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the executive team and external contacts. ● Works closely and effectively with the President to keep him/her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. ● Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting acknowledgement letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks that facilitate the President's ability to effectively lead the company. ● Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
