Mission Statement

Blessings in a Backpack mobilizes individuals, community, and resources to feed children who might otherwise go hungry over weekends and school breaks when school meals are not available.

Description

Every Friday, 28% of FCPS students, more than 12,000 kids, leave school uncertain if they will have enough food to eat over the weekend. That’s 65 hours without proper nutrition and an empty belly! Who will feed the kid this weekend? Why not you?
