Mission Statement

Strength in Numbers/Power in Connection is a non-profit organization presenting programs for adults and young people on topics of interest to women. These include literary, visual, and musical arts by and about women; the history of women; the anthropology, sociology, psychology, and biology of gender roles; racial and ethnic cooperation; gender equality and social justice issues such as the prevention of assault and workplace abuse, among others.

Description

Strength in Numbers/Power in Connection offers practical advice for women. Professionals will share their expertise including legal and medical specialists, researchers, mental health care providers, social justice activists, academics, and authors. These professionals will provide valuable and actionable resources. We will also offer thought-provoking programs that put forward new insights into subjects of interest to women in the arts, humanities, and sciences. We hope each event is a new experience that will enrich, enlighten, and empower our participants.
