The Cabarrus Health Alliance was created in 1997 under G.S. 131E-15, PART B as a hospital authority. Under this
statute, the hospital authority is an autonomous governmental entity governed by members that are called
"commissioners".

Environmental Health, Communicable Disease, Clinical Services (Women’s and Children’s Health Services including
maternity, family planning and comprehensive pediatric services, including specialty programs such as ADHD clinic
and BCCCP), School Health Services (a school nurse in each of 41 schools), Dental Clinic and Mobile Dental Services,
WIC, Family Care Coordination (MCC, MOW, CSC, Intensive Home Visiting), and Health Initiative Programs (HIV case

provided under an organizational structure of teams that report directly to the CEO.
