Mission Statement

BUFA, Black Urban Farmers Association, was born out of a vision to provide healthy, fresh, and pesticide free produce to our community at an affordable price.

Description

BUFA is a non-profit organization that is committed to organic farming. In the last year, we have been awarded grants that have allowed us to move towards our goals for 2022!

At the end of the month of February, we will be coming together for our Hoop Tunnel Project. For this project, we will need committed volunteers (with or without farming/gardening experience) to help us with the build and assembly of the tunnels. With these tunnels in place, we will not only be able to extend our growing season, but it will also serve as a barrier against the local wildlife.

We also welcome volunteers who are interested in helping with the day-to-day tasks of the farm on a weekly or monthly basis. Some of these tasks include watering, planting, harvesting and weeding, as well as assisting with other smaller projects on the farm.

We look forward to hearing from you!
