Mission Statement

Repair the World mobilizes Jews and their communities to take action to pursue a just world, igniting a lifelong commitment to service. We believe service in support of social change is vital to a flourishing Jewish community and an inspired Jewish life.

Description

The Repair the World Service Corps mobilizes young adults ages 18-29 to invest both in their communities and themselves through a Jewish service-learning experience. Corps members will volunteer virtually or in-person, following CDC guidelines, with local service partners working to combat the economic and social effects of the pandemic.

Each city (Atlanta, Bay Area, Boston, Brooklyn, Chicago, Cleveland, Colorado metro area, Harlem, Los Angeles, Miami, and Pittsburgh) will have a cohort supervised by a local Repair the World staff member to integrate the themes of the program in a small group setting. Corps members will spend approximately 10 hours per week volunteering, connecting with the Jewish community, and discussing foundational elements of social justice.

The Spring cohort will run between March 7 and May 13, 2022. Corps members are eligible for a stipend of up to $1,250 and access to Repair the World's Economic Access Fund.
