A Healthier You, Inc. is looking to bring on a communications and outreach volunteer to drive our health and wellness programs and lead partnership outreach for our organization Responsibilities Outreach to different local organizations for partnership opportunities Work closely with Board Members, focusing on helping with events, increasing communications metrics, and supporting volunteer engagement Assist with research and preparation of presentations and communications Additional responsibilities may include supporting the advocacy work as projects emerge Attending meetings as requested, joining staff meetings weekly (virtual) Applying innovative thinking and problem-solving to challenges Assisting Board members with developing new ideas for increasing visibility Contributing to communication metrics specifically related to social media Providing support to volunteers in outreach and communications activities Engage in outreach to identify new and existing resources that could benefit the populations we serve and to educate and inform our community about the AHY and services we provide

Experience or background in serving on a board of directors, fundraising, non-profit management, or public health is a plus. A Healthier You, Inc. (AHY) is a 501 (c)(3), an organization that provides holistic mind-body services to individuals and communities desiring to create a healthier version of themselves. The vision for AHY is for individuals to be healthy, emotionally, spiritually, financially, physically, mentally, and socially. Qualifications Passionate about our health and wellness Interested in healthy mind-body activities Open-minded and creative Possesses pro-active leadership skills Exceptional communication skills Team player with a vision for the future of a great organization Experience necessary Committed to serving for at least two years Board member expectations: AHY is looking for volunteers who are willing to devote their time, energy, and talents to help guide, direct, and work with AHY to achieve its mission. Each board member is expected to: Regularly attends board meetings and important related meetings. A Healthier You, Inc (AHY) regularly meets once a month for 1 hour. Makes serious commitment to participate actively in committee work. Help create and provide input on policies and procedures, budgets, and operations. Volunteers for and willingly accepts assignments and completes them thoroughly and on time. Stays informed about committee matters, prepares themselves well for meetings, and reviews and comments on minutes and reports. Gets to know other committee members and builds a collegial working relationship that contributes to consensus. Is an active participant in the committee's annual evaluation and planning efforts. Participates in fundraising for the organization. Efforts can include but are not limited to, planning, attendance, solicitation of donors, outreach, and marketing. Actively involve yourself in the agenda of the organization, by building relationships and acquitting business that will grow the mission.
