Mission Statement

CIEE's mission is to humanize international relations and foster peace through international education and exchange programs that promote intercultural understanding. We strive to increase global harmony and stability by helping individuals learn to embrace people different from themselves and ideas different from their own. ​We prepare future leaders who will be able to communicate across cultures to tackle issues confronting our globally interconnected and multicultural world.

Description

A nonprofit, nongovernmental organization, CIEE is the world leader in international education and exchange. For more than 70 years, CIEE has helped thousands of people gain the knowledge and skills necessary to live and work in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world by offering the most comprehensive, relevant, and valuable exchange programs available. It’s an undertaking we’ve been proud to pursue for decades. We change lives; our alumni change the world.

Since 1947 we’ve dedicated ourselves to providing educational experiences that enhance the lives of all they touch and to transforming our organization to meet the changing needs of the times and our participants.
