Mission Statement

The mission of the Golden Gate Area Council BSA is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Description

The Golden Gate Area Council supports BSA Scouting programs in the Bay Area. Girls and boys from kindergarten to age 20 can learn leadership skills while enjoying the outdoors. Programs range from Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts, Venturing, and Exploring. The Council spans the areas of San Francisco, Alameda County, Contra Costa County, Napa County, and Lake County.
