The nonprofit San Francisco Frozen Film Festival (SFFFF) is seeking volunteers to be Film Festival Judges for our 2023 Festival! This exciting and rare remote part-time opportunity can starts right away and completed from home or from any computer or screen. It can also be completed within 8 to 18+ hours weekly depending on your interests. Responsibilities: Watch and rank new short, feature and documentary film weekly for the San Francisco Frozen Film Festival Rate the film and make notes to describe your rating on each films: (1) overall rank in stars, evidenced by your score on each films (2) cinematography, (3) audio, (4) writing/story line, and (5) acting. The films are watched online you will need to have access to a computer, tablet or phone and the internet This position starts as soon as possible and runs through July 17th, and can continue for passionate volunteer judges. This volunteer position could be turned into a fulltime festival internship for motivated and interested volunteers but that is not required. In addition to our annual international film festival, the SFFFF Youth Program is specifically focused on demonstrating to underserved youth that existing pathways do exist to help them find a career in the film arts. The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival (www.frozenfilmfestival.com) is seeking volunteers Film Festival staff (and Interns) to do real work and make a tremendous volunteer impact helping our nonprofit organization film festival. This remote volunteer opportunity provides strong work experience in media, arts, events, communications, development, and/or nonprofit organizational event management depending on your interests and skills. Motivated, reliable, and organized candidates seeking either part-time or full-time volunteer work or internships between the months of May to August encouraged to apply. About The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival (SFFFF) is a Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2006 that is dedicated to creating avenues for independent filmmakers, youth, filmmakers of conscience, and artists from underserved communities to come together and exhibit their work to the widest possible audience. The 2023 San Francisco Frozen Film Festival will be held in-person and online and is a public event that can be attended anywhere in the world. In addition to our annual international film festival, the SFFFF Youth Program is specifically focused on demonstrating to underserved youth that existing pathways do exist to help them find a career in the film arts. SFFFF holds annual music and art performances, as well as youth programming and awards presentations. The Film Festival Volunteers/Interns will have the opportunity to lead real work such as: Helping to coordinate film premiers and work directly with filmmakers Will participate as a volunteer judge for the 2022 festival to educate yourself on the films and filmmakers in the annual festival. Work to gather press information, images from filmmakers Work directly with filmmakers to answer questions and coordinate events Research, and update online systems Marketing and social media tasks Sponsorship and filmmaker Coordination Assisting in the planning and coordination of online events Plan and help host online events for the film festival Various festival related project and tasks involving event planning Creating marketing letters, sponsorship, and research tasks Project management helping to put on an amazing film festival. Providing creative idea and executing projects independently and also meeting as a group virtually. What you should bring: An interest or background in film, arts, nonprofits, communications or event planning or fundraising. Skilled and comfortable with developing business relationships and building rapport Exceptional interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills Strong writing skills A passion for the festival The ability and confidence to work independently, think outside the box, and take initiative There are unpaid volunteer remote opportunities. It will teach significant skills and or offer great experience opportunity. We are seeking volunteers that are available to part-time or more for four to twelve weeks starting as soon as comfortably possible.
