Thinking you're not sure what you can do with someone who is experiencing serious illness? Our patients enjoy a variety of activities. A companion, someone to sit and talk with. Make and deliver holiday cards Help write a letter Play card or board games Listen to music or read a book There are so many ways to help! Our volunteers work closely with our Volunteer Coordinator to ensure you and our patients feel comfortable and get meaning out of this volunteer opportunity!

Are you looking for a meaningful way to support other veterans? We have just the opportunity for you! Gentiva Hospice is a We Honor Veterans partner and we are actively recruiting veterans to sit with our veteran patients! As a veteran to veteran volunteer, you will sit with veterans who are receiving hospice services to allow them the opportunity to have companionship with a fellow veteran. Veteran volunteers will also help with pinning veteran patients in order to help honor the patient and their family.
