Community Healthcare of Texas is the largest non -profit hospice organization in the state of Texas. We offer compassionate end of life services, as well as family support and bereavement services. We are looking for someone to maintain and water our plants that will soon be planted inside and outside of our hospice house in Burleson. If you enjoy plants, we could use you! This is a small area and we would love to have someone 1-2 times a week. We would also love ideas to help beautify the area. Can't wait to hear from you!

This is an opportunity for potential volunteers to ask questions and hear stories from current volunteers. Nothing can better prepare you for our volunteer experience like our wonderful patient and administration volunteers! These are just a few of the volunteer opportunities where you can make a difference: Patient Companion volunteers visit with patients to offer friendship and companionship, give needed respite time for caregivers, run errands, or help with light household work. Veteran-to-Veteran volunteers offer a supportive and understanding presence for fellow veterans receiving hospice care. Interpreter volunteers facilitate communication between palliative care and hospice professionals and families through staff visits and/or phone calls. Grief Support volunteers assist with plans for bereavement activities and events, including gatherings and memorial services, or offer support for families through phone calls and cards. Legacy of Love volunteers take a patient’s favorite article of clothing, blanket, or other types of special fabric and design a customized stuffed bear or pillow that can be shared with the family for generations to come. Office Support volunteers collaborate closely with our office team to assist with various administrative duties including filing and other organizational tasks. Community Outreach volunteers are the face of Community Healthcare of Texas by helping at health fairs and conferences throughout the community. People feel compelled to volunteer their time and talents for many reasons. Whatever your reason for volunteering with us, we want you to feel confident serving your community and the needs of our patients and families.
