Mission Statement

We believe that through the power of education, we can build a generation of women who can help themselves. We intentionally focus on long-term, sustainable projects that create meaningful change in the lives of the people we serve through all levels of their needs: from physiological needs to self-actualization. Our mission is to empower women in South Siberia to empower themselves.

Description

Girls Education Nation is a small nonprofit based in the United States with 100% of programs in Siberia, Russia. Our efforts focus primarily on the creation of education opportunities for women and girls living in the Abakan region of South Siberia. However, as we grow with our community, our programs allow us to meet all their needs - basic needs, services (including therapy and legal counseling), community building and events, academics, and entrepreneurship. We hope to equip women and girls with the confidence and knowledge they need to lead full lives.
