LIMITLESS FOUNDATION

Description

Limitless is brand new, and we are looking for a board volunteer to help us shape the organization from the ground, up. We have our 501c3 designation and are at the beginning stages of implementing programs. We are currently raising money to fund participation of youth in underserved areas of Chicago in a summer youth basketball league, and we are producing a documentary film about the effects of race, culture and privilege on the future of youth growing up in Chicago. We would like to create programming around fiscal sponsorship for filmmakers and put in place a giving strategy for mental health advocacy and support. The organization is in its very early stages, and there is opportunity for the board member to have significant impact on the organization’s genesis. We are open to new programming ideas and further refining those we have in place.

The current needs for the organization include assessing program design and implementation, creating workflows, setting-up organizational and programmatic best-practices. The foundation is currently funded through the contributions of two of its board members. As programming needs arise, fundraising campaigns may be implemented. However, we see that need down the line once our programming is further organized. The foundation is currently adequately funded for its needs.

We are seeking one board member with at least 2-3 years experience in non-profit management. The board currently has 3 members, one of whom is stepping down as it is the end of the term. This position fills that vacancy.
