CETUSA (Council of Educational Travel-USA) is a nation-wide credited non-profit organization that matches host families to overseas foreign exchange students! Our students come from all over the globe to study in our high school exchange programs. During their stay in the U.S., host families serve as public diplomats and share their homes and culture with these students. We are looking for host families that currently live in South Florida. Your family will be matched to a student that best fits your lifestyle, needs, and beliefs! There are three programs for foreign exchange students: 5-month placement, 10-month placement, and 12-month placement. When you volunteer to be a host family, you can choose which length of placement best works for you. 10-month placements are the most common. On these placements, students will stay from September-June. Host families do not receive compensation for hosting, but instead receive a lifetime of memories and a year of experience that your student will take with them for the rest of their lives. A lot of our host families are repeat families because they enjoyed the experience so much. Host families also do not have any financial obligations to the exchange student, as the student brings their own spending money. Groceries, housing, and transportation are all that we ask.
