We Start Me Up is 1 year old in few months.
THE PROJECTS
We find those projects via other Non-Profits in the fields of the Least Developed Countries. The population we are helping have projects to be : merchant, farmer, designer, contractor...any kind of small business. They can be very good at what their are doing, but they don't know how to run their business, and most of the time, in those countries, this is hard for them to find information, training, support, finances...
PROJECT REALIZED IN 2021
We did a 1st project in 2021 in Morocco, it was a shot to try and see with a project of a woman recycling old tires to make Ottomans poufs.
PROJECTS FOR 2022
In March/April 2022, we go in Congo (DR) to train a team creating a sustainable Organic Farm and a store to sell the products. The benefits of those new activities are to cover the expenses of the orphanage they created few years ago. The idea of that team is to be fully sustainable without the support of the occidental finances. OUR GOAL, is to train the new management team, and give them all the tools so they are armed to succeed. We will go for 1 or 2 months, besides the training, we provide coaching and support, material and emotional.
The contacts we are working on right now are in Congo (Brazzaville), Tchad and Mauritania. As example, I'm working on creating a 1 week training class in NDjamena (Tchad) for few people with a project
We are right now 4 volunteers : 2 from Los Angeles (Including me), 1 in Swiss and 1 in France.
