The Jewish Historical Society of Greater Hartford collects, preserves and shares the history of the Jewish community of the region by telling the stories of Jewish life, culture, and contributions to our part of Connecticut. We are committed to reaching out to different audiences through exhibitions, publications, educational and community outreach programs.
Established in 1971, the Society is a non-profit membership organization. Over the past 50 years we have built a respected archive, created numerous exhibitions, and hosted educational programs and tours on many different aspects of Jewish history in our region and beyond.
