Located at 226 North Kendall St Norwood, NC. Ms Shannon is the newly appointed Community Table Manager and oversees the training and scheduling of her volunteers. People in our community may come to the Community Table between 11:15 am and 12:30 pm to receive a FREE hot meal during the week, Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. Volunteers would participate in preparing the boxed meal, a drink, and serving those who come through the door. (Since COVID, our dinning room is closed to clients). People in our community may come to the Community Table between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm to receive a FREE hot meal during the week, Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. Volunteers would participate in preparing the boxed meal, a drink, and serving those who come through the door. Sweeping, mopping and washing dishes will be done at the end of the shift. Norwood Food Pantry mainly services senior residents of the town who struggle to find a way to the Albemarle Pantry. Clients come in on a first-come, first-served basis and receive a pre-packaged box of their monthly food, along with their government box. Volunteers would assist in stocking shelves, packing boxes, weighing the food in the boxes, and allowing clients to gather their items. Must have 2 people! Norwood Pantry Location: 247 W. Turner Ct Norwood, NC 28128 Hours of Operation: 2pm-6pm Every Monday (except holidays)

Our Clothing Closet is housed at 1324 E Main St in Albemarle, NC. Ms. Eva is the Clothing Closet Director and is in charge of training and scheduling her volunteers. The Clothing Closet offers hours that work with anyone's schedule. Choose from half days or full days Monday through Saturday. Some duties may include: sorting through donations, hanging clothing, pricing items, placing items on the showroom floor, sweeping and mopping as needed. If you are interested in volunteering at the clothing closet, please fill out the volunteer form found on the SCCM website: www.sccminc.org/volunteer Store Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9:30AM - 5PM Wednesday: 9AM - 2PM Saturday: 9AM - 1PM Donations needed: Children's Clothing, Toys, Shoes, Adult Clothing (especially plus size), Shoes, Jewelry, Household Items Donations can be made during store hours or if you arrive after hours, you may put your donations in the container located to the left of our building. Answering Calls: Managing incoming calls and transferring them to appropriate staff. Scheduling Appointments: Schedule client appointments after making sure their paperwork is up to date.
