Position Overview: EmpowHERto is seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our development team. The volunteer Fundraising Manager will play a key role in securing the financial resources necessary to support our programs and initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team dedicated to uplifting young girls and youth, breaking barriers, and fostering empowerment. Key Responsibilities: Fundraising Strategy: Collaborate with the Development Director to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with EmpowHERto's mission and goals. Donor Cultivation: Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations to secure financial support and sponsorship opportunities. Create and coordinate campaign schedules, including direct mailing and digital. Corporate Partnerships: Identify and engage potential corporate partners, and work with the Development Director to create mutually beneficial partnerships. Fundraising Events: Plan and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage donors, supporters, and the community. Donor Stewardship: Implement donor stewardship strategies to recognize and appreciate donors, ensuring their ongoing engagement and support. Collaboration: Work closely with the Development Director and other team members to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic goals. Data Management: Maintain accurate donor records and manage a donor database, ensuring timely and personalized communication with supporters. Recreate and implement impact analysis project (to be utilized for annual reports, infographics, grant proposals, etc.). Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a focus on individual giving, corporate partnerships, and grant writing. Proven track record in securing major gifts, grants, and corporate sponsorships. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to think strategically, set goals, and execute plans. Proficiency in fundraising software and donor databases. Passion for empowering young girls and youth and a commitment to the organization's mission. Collaboration: The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the Development Director to create a synergistic fundraising team that supports and amplifies EmpowHERto's mission. EmpowHERto is a Fort- Lauderdale nonprofit that works with girls and young womxn to provide them with the tools needed to succeed and influence positive systemic change, through programs encouraging independence, self-confidence and leadership. The volunteer Grant Writer will be responsible for identifying grant opportunities, managing the grant development and proposal process. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a professional and resourceful demeanor, the ability to work both independently and as a team player, and a desire to take initiative and manage numerous projects simultaneously. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Research and identify grant opportunities based on funding amount needed, location, and organization project. Track and create a calendar of grant opportunities - including deadline dates, required materials, etc. Complete and submit grant applications to secure funding. Successfully understand and communicate the mission and vision of the company applying for the grant. Maintain a chart of grant applications: including grants applied to, the status of the application, grant deadline. Communicate with foundations, if needed, to confirm an organization is applicable to apply for funding. Identify all requirements of the grant to ensure all necessary attachments are submitted on time. Prioritize grants to apply for (based on the size of the grant and the time funding is released) Create and update grant FAQ document to provide organizations applying for their own grants. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Demonstrated experience in obtaining grants from non-profits, charities, and other philanthropic organizations. Minimum 1 year of experience in Grant writing applications for non-profit organizations. Research and identify grant opportunities based on funding amount needed, location, and organization project. Track and create a calendar of grant opportunities - including deadline dates, required materials, etc. Complete and submit grant applications to secure funding. Successfully understand and communicate the mission and vision of the company applying for the grant. Stewardship: Implement donor stewardship strategies to recognize and appreciate donors, ensuring their ongoing engagement and support. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of philanthropy within the organization. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and development. Proven track record in securing major gifts, grants, and corporate sponsorships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
