Uda Aida is a free learning and mentorship program and a non-profit organization that aims to provide access to free Punjabi education for young children.
We aim to provide free learning and mentorship to young second and/or third generation immigrant children in order to preserve and promote the Punjabi language and culture amongst the next generation. We also hope to foster a connection between Punjabi children in the community through their shared culture, language, and history. Uda Aida recognizes the importance of a safe platform for learners where everyone feels supported, welcomed, and respected, and thrives to live up to those standards. Along with helping students to the best of our abilities with their needs in learning Punjabi, we also hope to provide them with the finest tutoring experience, for free. We host group sessions of 3-5 children for 1 hour, where students can learn and connect with others like them that are at a similar proficiency in Punjabi. We use Zoom to hold our group sessions. Meeting codes and passwords are provided.
