Mission Statement

The Journal Initiative is committed to serving those living with, affected by, or at high risk for HIV infection and those facing housing insecurity through comprehensive, clinical-grade, interdenominational, spiritual care and coffee-sharing services.

Description

Welcome to the Journal InitiativeThrough our unique services, we ensure that no one simply fades away.

Utilizing our Spiritual Care services, we provide holistic, essential, clinical-grade care to members of the HIV community and those facing housing insecurity throughout the course of life. Utilizing our Journals and with the help of our exclusive journal kits, members of our community are able to write, draw, or tell their stories anonymously and on their own time, in any manner that they choose. With our In-person Story-sharing services, members of the HIV community and those facing housing insecurity are able to anonymously record and share their stories - one on one - with one of our caring volunteers, all of whom are trained in the art of story collecting.

On-the-ground services are provided throughout the State of Connecticut to those living with, affected by, or at high-risk of HIV infection and those facing any form of housing insecurity. Additionally, our services are available via Zoom, FaceTime, and telephone to community members located anywhere within North America.
