Mission Statement
Code Savvy’s mission is the development of opportunities for people of all backgrounds to engage in computer science and technology learning activities - to work toward equity of opportunity, regardless of income, location, disability, ethnicity, or age.
Description
By focusing on ensuring access to technology and computational thinking skills, we envision a world where individuals in every community have the tools and skills to use and create the technology they need.
We have three main areas of focus through our targeted programs:
- EXPLORE: Community Learning and Computational Exploration - Coder Dojos TC, Rebecca Coder Dojo, Code Camps/Clubs for youth 7-18
- EDUCATE: Educator Professional Development and Computer Science Curriculum Development - MNCodes, CS2GO
- ENGAGE: Tech Challenges, Workshops, and Event-Based Opportunities for Girls - Technovation[MN], Alexa Skills, Girls Who Code

Appapalooza, 5/7/2017, was a great event for our youth competitors to have an experience of a lifetime and for our professional community to spend a couple hours giving back. Everyone leaves inspired! Try it, you'll be glad you did!
