Description

Soroptimist International of Davis believes that women and girls should have the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential and live their dreams.

SI Davis is part of a global volunteer organization, Soroptimist International, that works to improve the lives of women and girls. It was founded in Oakland in 1921 by Violet Richardson, who coined the term "service club." Our club formed in 1954. We are an active group of professionals, volunteers and retirees dedicated to serving our community year-round through programs and projects that include women and girls' access to education and career development through cash grants, career mentoring, and scholarships; gifts and support for foster children and aged-out foster youth; community grants to other local nonprofits like women's shelters and crisis nurseries; support for survivors of human trafficking and sex slavery, and a whole lot more!
