Mission Statement
Developing lifelong, civically active, and globally aware leaders of peace and justice.
Description
We are a regional affiliate of the PeaceJam Foundation, located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and serving the states of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio. We offer programming for students grades K-12, college students, and incarcerated youth. Great Lakes PeaceJam is a program of Seeding Change, a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
PeaceJam is available to all schools, youth serving agencies, faith-based institutions, and self-organizing youth ages 5-25, through 6 unique curricular programs and club toolkit.
Together with our Nobel Peace Laureates, we are focused on preparing a generation of young leaders who will create a critical tipping point for change in all sectors of society.
Why Nobel Peace Laureates?
We believe that our Nobel Peace Laureates are the most qualified mentors prepared to guide and inspire this generation of young people to develop into the leaders that the world so urgently needs.
Why Youth?
We believe that the world is in need of new ideas, perspectives, and approaches and that this generation of young people is uniquely qualified and ready to address the complex problems facing humanity and the planet.
Why You?
We believe that by engaging in their communities, youth and Nobel Peace Laureates can solve today’s most pressing issues. But they cannot do it alone! They need the support of allies like you at every level.
