Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide an After Care Service for kids aging out of the foster care system program and young adults who have already aged out of the foster care system with the service, they need to help them become successful members of society. Our services will include an after-care therapy program to help our young adults transition for the group home and life as a child to being independent and becoming an adult as well providing transitional and permanent housing, education and job training, transportation, food, clothing, childcare and any other assistant that’s needed along the way.

Description

I started this nonprofit this year after one of the guys I knew from a group home we were in as kids reached out to me crying saying he was going to take his life I don’t know what happened to him, but I never heard from him again. From there I thought about my life and every I known who came from the system and how many like my self-tried to take our lives because the abuse we endured mentally tore us down. I thought about the statistics of what happens to us after care and according to google and my own personal knowledge 50% of the homeless population, 70% of sex trafficked victims and 80% of inmates were past foster kids and from my knowledge become the highest rate of domestic violence and suicide victims. And I designed this program to give a family a support system and more importantly a chance of felling normal and loved. I do believe with this program not only will it help foster prior foster kids it will also help the communities by bringing more productive members to our communities. My goal is to crack down and giving us a chance at life.
