The Hand-in-Hand Program provides volunteers to assist the elderly (62 and over) and adults with functional disabilities remain independent in their own homes. Volunteers help with tasks such as: Light Housework (cleaning, vacuuming) Sewing, Ironing Donation Pickup/Drop-off Simple Handy Work Technology Support (Phones, Computers, TV Heavy Housework (moving furniture) Organizing/Decluttering Sorting, Reading Mail Paint/Retouch Walls Pet Care (Feeding, Grooming, Walking) Cites Served : Dana Point, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach/Corona del Mar, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano REQUIREMENTS : Must be +18 +14 may be accompanied by an adult Completed Volunteer Application & background check Valid driver’s license, vehicle registration & proof of insurance for all drivers* *Passengers (non-drivers) do not need driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance If you are interested in volunteering for the Hand-in-Hand program, please complete the online application below. Duties: Wash hands immediately before starting duties in dining room Assist initially with food prep Clean prep areas, equipment and dishes used for food prep and lunch service Dress Code: T-Shirts, closed toed shoes; Jeans (no holes) or knee-length shorts that you don't mind getting dirty Long hair must be pulled back into a ponytail or bun; a hairnet or hat must be worn when in the kitchen. No perfume or cologne when working in the kitchen Skills, Abilities and Knowledge: Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time Training: Hands on training will be provided in by the Kitchen Manager, or a trained volunteer. Available Shifts & Qualifications: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Age 16 years or older

We are looking for volunteers for our Friendly Visitor program. The Friendly Visitor Program matches compassionate adults with seniors in need of some extra support and social interaction. Volunteers visit on a regular basis to provide support to seniors living on their own. Regular visits often lead to lasting and meaningful friendships.
