Mission Statement

The Green Crew's mission is to lead the adventure of "saving the world." The Green Crew is a youth-inspired and youth-led environmental action organization. Our conservation service projects provide youth the hands-on experience in meaningful action to make the natural world healthier.

Description

Launching in January 2022, the Green Crew is a unique collaboration between the Izaak Walton League and the BSA venturing program. We sponsor 1 or 2 environmental adventures per month. These adventures have been designed, planned, and implemented by youth. Adults serve as consultants and advisors.

I have been working with the Green Crew for 2 months as the Training Advisor. The Crew offers awesome opportunities for youth to learn from and lead ecologically relevant events/projects/workshops. As a former scout it is great to be involved in a crew that is really utilizing the energy and skills of our young leaders focused on saving the natural resources.
