Mission Statement

Rescue Retrievers from situations which endanger the well being or welfare of the dogs. The term 'Retrievers' include Labradors, Goldens, Curly-Coated, Flat-Coated, Chesapeke Bay and Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retrievers. Also, to serve as a liaison agency for other rescue groups in the North East states and to educate the public regarding NEARR and the problem of pet overpopulation.

Description

NEARR is a non-profit, 501c(3) charitable, all-volunteer group that re-homes retrievers in the North East. We accept pure-bred and mixed Labrador, Golden, Chesapeake bay, Flat coated, Curly-coated and Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers. All of our dogs live in foster care homes while awaiting their forever homes. We work hard to ensure the proper placement of our dogs in loving, suitable homes. We currently serve certain counties in the Northeastern states.
