Our mission is to empower communities to be self-reliant, resiliant and ecologically sustainable. We aim to be a catalyst for positive change in creating new models for how individuals, communities and societies to live in peace and in harmony with the natural world.

Description

Upsurgent has developed out of a core understanding that humanity and our planet are at a point of transformation, and humanity must take hold of this opportunity to build new models for living that are based upon self-actualization, peace and ecological sustainability. This entails transforming our lives, our communities and our societies to function in balance and harmony with our fellow man and the natural world. Unity is essential to the transition to a better world: the unity of all humanity coming together and the unity of ourselves and societies with the natural world. But this unity is deaper; it is the holistic understanding that the necessary transformation touches every aspect of our lives from the most mundane to the most spiritual.

We are currently launching our online platform which is a point of collaboration and synergy where we are able to implement and realize ideas and local projects. We are currently starting our work in the Turkana region of Kenya, assisting a group of HIV positive mothers through vocational training and building sustainable solutions for their community to mitigate the effects of climate change.
