Description

Pittsburgh Fashion Week (PGHFW) is an annual, week-long series of events in Pittsburgh, PA, which features clothing created by local Pittsburgh designers. These up-and-coming designers work together with a volunteer team of stylists, dressers, makeup artists, and more to showcase their work at the extravagant final runway show. For the past two years, the prominent final runway show has taken place at the Wintergarden at PPG Place.

Historically, fashion in Pittsburgh has centered on department stores (such as Kaufmann’s, Horne’s and Gimbels). In the pre-2000s era, window displays were always stylish, and creativity was flowing in the Pittsburgh fashion scene ( learn more).

In 2016, the Downtown CDC took over the proceedings for Fashion Week, with a mission of carrying on the legacy that "Fashion Week would have something for everyone..."
