Ubuntu Community Catalyst

Description

Ubuntu seeks to advance the efforts of the LiveWell South Fulton Initiative. The Initiative has evolved out of numerous one-on-one’s, small group meetings, and two community-wide summits focusing on the social determinants of health and racial inequities impacting residents living south of I-20 in the south Fulton County region. The Initiative strives to meet the following goals:

1. Strengthen residents’ skills and leadership abilities to participate and effectively address critical community issues across sectors
2. Create and implement a robust education and communication outreach strategy to promote training, technical assistance, and capacity building to foster collaborative policy and systems change
3. Increase community network linkageswith civic, public, and private service providers to refer individuals and families to appropriate human services and supports.
